Ahoy my friends and blog followers!
We left the Marquesas in January and sailed 7 days South to the Gambiers Island group of French Polynesia, where we spent the last 3 months.
We just arrived back in Tahiti where we now have internet service again. I know it has been a long wait, but I will start back where we left off and begin updating the blog again. I will try not to post too many too fast so that you are able to keep up. I already have many waiting in the wings.
In so many ways it is nice to be out of touch and not really know what is going on with the world and its many problems. But on the other hand it is hard being out of touch with friends and family. As our journey progresses there will be many more times where we will not have internet and not be able to make posts, so please be patient with us. I promise to update you when possible, so you can join us in our journey of sailing across the Pacific.
We have just renewed our visas here in French Polynesia for one more year and are starting to study and think about which countries to visit next. The main thing that tells us where we can be when, is the hurricane season. Here in the South Pacific that runs from November through March. Right now we know we will be in Tahiti with internet for the next 3 months. After that we have more time to explore this vast and incredible island country. We still have not seen the Austral group, but we'll see if we can make it there too.
We appreciate your patience with our posts and are happy you are still following along!!
Mauurururoa (thank you very much in Tahitian!)
