While
we were waiting for parts to arrive, both by Fed Ex and ship, we
decided to sail to Mo'orea and enjoy the wait.
Unbeknownst
to us, it was still raining over there. But this made for some
incredible number of waterfalls, which we had not seen before.

Austral islands.
We
walked up the road to visit our friend Torea, a Tahitian (actually
Mo'orean) and saw these other waterfalls as well.
He
has a collection of things. This is a green shell, he says is
delicious and a dried out Slipper Lobster.
He
has several doggies and the youngest has now learned not to get
in front of cars, poor broken leg baby!
Torea
took us fish and snail hunting, but the first thing I saw when I got
in the water was this white tipped shark (see the white tips on his
dorsal and tail). I kept my eye on him, just in case.
Torea,
with shell, knife and spear gun in hand.
He
shows us how to open one of the big green shells.
This
is a Pineapple Sea Cucumber. I guess because he has spikes like a
Pineapple?!? The spikes are not sharp though.
A
deep hole in the reef.

The
parts have arrived, but there is no wind, so we are motoring back to
Tahiti. Glad it is only 12 miles between them!
