New fuel tank

Hallelujah I made it to retirement once again!!!  Well, really I quit my job for the second time in my life to go sailing.  We are working our butts (and bank accounts) off refitting Avatar with a new fuel tanks and soon diesel engine.  Here are some photos of the progress of the last two weeks.

Two weeks from today, Mike Rickman and Shelly Rothery will be retiring from being yacht brokers at La Paz Yachts, in Baja Sur Mexico.  This will be each of our´s second attempt at retirement and we hope to be able to make it stick this time.
We will be making memorable sailing adventures aboard our boat AVATAR, a Kelly Peterson 44.  We are still in the last throws of her two year long refit, including new fuel tanks, new Isuzu diesel engine and all new electrical system.
First plan is to do as we always advised our customers, sail up into the Sea of Cortez for a shakedown cruise.  With all the new stuff onboard, we want to make sure it all works the way we planned it.
